![]() Other than this it’s so far so good but time will tell. There has to be an option added to the app for this purpose with an “are you sure?” back up to avoid accidental deletion. The system deletes them automatically after 30 days I believe, giving you plenty of chance to download and keep but seriously NO WAY TO DELETE THEM MANUALLY? How long will my timeline be after 6 days? □□□□□□□ SimpliSafe has apparently changed all this behavior and at least for us, its a really bad change. THERE IS NO OPTION TO DELETE TIMELINE VIDEOS OF WHICH I HAVE A FEW AFTER JUST 6 HOURS OF THE SYSTEM BEEN SWITCHED ON!! In the past - a few years ago - a panic button would result in a push notification to the app, an email to anyone who was signed up for those alerts, an SMS to anyone who was signed up for those alerts, and an entry on the timeline. I will add a further review in time but there is one thing that seriously bothers me which is glaringly obvious and the reason that I’m writing this on the first day of usage. If you have large dogs that might set off a false alarm, install the SimpliSafe sensor upside down ( test button down) to create a blind spot in the lower part of the room, and place the sensor just 4 to 5 feet off the ground. I bought this system for the simplicity to install which is great and installed my whole house in around 50 mins. The best height for motion sensors is usually 6 to 8 feet high. So come on simplisafe have a serious think about your cost. I do think the £13 option should be the maximum fee but this should include the monitoring that currently costs £20, this is because it’s never ending and so will add up hugely over time. I labelled the icons Panic open and Panic close. This is what I used in the open command - nircmd.exe cdrom open F: (replace F with your cd drive letter) and to close it - nircmd.exe cdrom close F. This does seem steep but as I got a 50% discount on the equipment it is something I will run with for a while and see how it goes. if you're at home during a break in, pressing the panic button will instantly. So, I can connect to my pc and open the cd tray and the alarm will sound. I have just purchased and installed this with the monthly fee of £20. Get this system you will not be disappointed hope this helps you decide to change and get your home alarmed with this system. I fully recommend this alarm system it melts into my decor and doesn’t stand out like my other system did. ![]() My insurance company accept the system and my insurance went down my whole house is fully alarmed even when I’m home part of my system is active and monitored by alarm company. My system is remotely checked daily to ensure the system is working correctly the monitoring station are very very fast if any part of the system is activated I accidentally activated my panic alarm and within 1 minute they had rang myself and my nominated people and were ready to ring police to attend but I sorted and my system was reinstated to normal, the customer care is second to none any question is answered in detail and explained so I understood and they kept on the phone to ensure I fully understood. I renewed and upgraded my home alarm system to this system, I was a bit dubious at first but it was so simple to set up and install, the monitoring fee is nearly half what I was paying for my other system.
